As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the development of our team's expertise and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our service users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions to adults within a community-based setting
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote functional independence in activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Provide intervention in areas such as self-care, mobility, housing adaptations, equipment prescription, and falls prevention
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, including Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Public Health Nurses, and GPs
  • Supervise and support junior staff, students, and Occupational Therapy Assistants, ensuring high standards of practice

Requirements

  • Be registered on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU
  • Minimum of three years post-qualification experience, with at least one year in a relevant area such as Primary Care, Community, or Rehabilitation
  • Strong experience in assessment and intervention planning within a community or primary care setting
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary colleagues and service users
  • Experience in mentoring and supervising junior staff or students is desirable
  • A full drivers license and access to a vehicle are essential
  • Current residency in Ireland with the legal right to work without restrictions
