Job Overview

This critical role plays a pivotal part in our organization's Technology function, ensuring the effective management of technology risks and controls globally.

  • Essential experience within Financial Services is required.
  • A strong background in IT Risk & Controls, ideally within an Operational Risk environment, is also necessary.
  • The successful candidate will have a proven track record in Risk Management, Lines of Defence, or IT functions.

We seek someone with a deep understanding of Technology operations and risk frameworks, excellent problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail. Effective written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, are crucial.

A proactive, accountable approach with the ability to work under pressure is essential. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with control testing, assurance, and audit management, as well as the ability to prepare concise management summaries. A client-focused, solution-oriented mindset with a continuous improvement approach is desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Embedding risk management frameworks and supporting risk reporting.
  • Maintaining the risk register, including controls, attestations, assurance, issue-action tracking, and event management.
  • Overseeing control development, attestation, remediation plans, and assurance programmes.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to develop and enhance tools for demonstrating controls oversight within the first line of defence.
