Job Title:
Senior Technical Lead for API Development

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Lead to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading the design and evolution of our API platform, which is central to how our enterprise customers and internal teams interact with our core database technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Shape the platform strategy in alignment with company goals and objectives
- Propose and lead initiatives that improve developer efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Evolve the API platform to enable internal development teams to deliver features and serve enterprise customers at scale
- Ensure integration with modern auth standards, such as OAuth2 and OIDC, in a way that's secure and compatible with popular client libraries
- Collaborate deeply with internal teams to ensure the platform meets broad engineering needs
- Enable the downstream development of declarative tools by ensuring the API platform aligns with their workflows and state management paradigms
- Act as a technical mentor and leader, helping maintain a high bar of engineering excellence and decision-making

Requirements:

- Enjoys collaboration and being part of a team, with experience in technical leadership
- Proven expertise building production API platforms at scale, ideally for internal platform teams and/or enterprise-facing products
- Strong background in API lifecycle management, OpenAPI/Swagger or similar
- A track record of delivering backwards-compatible APIs and building systems that reduce the risk of breaking changes
- Strong communication skills — you're equally comfortable writing an RFC, mentoring a teammate, or presenting to leadership
- Approachable, curious, and intellectually honest
