Vulnerable Populations Support Specialist

Supporting vulnerable populations is at the heart of this role, where you'll collaborate with young people, social workers, and carers to assess their needs before they turn 18. As an Aftercare Worker, you'll develop a personalized plan to help them thrive in life beyond their teenage years.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement care plans tailored to each young person's needs
- Become a trusted support person for young adults once they reach 18, providing guidance on housing, education, employment, budgeting, health, and relationships
- Represent the young person in accessing services like mental health, social welfare, and housing
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in social care practice (Applied social studies in professional social care - Level 7 or 8 degree)
- CORU Registration
- Must be a resident in Ireland and have the legal right to work in Ireland without restriction
- Willing to undergo Garda Vetting
- International Police Clearance required (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
