Senior Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of major electrical projects.

  • This role involves managing all aspects of electrical design, from primary design to secondary design, ensuring that designs meet technical, quality, and safety standards.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of substation design, utilities, and renewables sector, with proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, ePlan, and MS Office.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the electrical design team in delivering high-quality designs within agreed project timelines.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and allocating resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, promoting their growth and development.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to improve design processes and deliverables.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Honours Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years industry experience in electrical design, preferably in the substation, utilities, and renewables sector.
