
Product Engineering Leadership Role

A Product Engineering Manager role has become available, overseeing a team of engineers who provide engineering support for the Commercial Aircraft Sector's programs.
">The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the functions of the Product Engineering Group, including providing proactive day-to-day engineering support to production assembly and test areas.
">Key responsibilities include developing repair capability for Moog and third-party products, initiating clear production assembly/test instructions, and taking responsibility for ensuring issues impacting quality, cost, and delivery performance are identified and addressed promptly.
">Other key tasks include defining and scheduling the development of equipment to meet production requirements, providing support as required to other departments to maintain and improve product quality, first pass yield (FPY), production schedule, and product cost objectives, and utilizing common and/or developing unique repair processes to reduce turnaround time (TAT) and repair costs for out of or in production repair or replacement parts.
">">The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a science and/or engineering discipline, proven technical expertise in the repair and overhaul of aircraft hardware, awareness of aircraft engine technology, and up-to-date knowledge of market trends in this field.
">They must also possess solid understanding of regulatory requirements, proven general capabilities in areas of root cause/corrective action, LEAN, project planning, product line transfer, and data acquisition and analysis.
">Additionally, they should have ability to lead and mentor individuals, self-starter willing to make sound decisions and initiate action without prior counseling or direction, and ability to define goals and objectives into well-defined tasks that support business objectives.
">Travel is also a requirement of the role.
