Job Overview

A highly skilled Staff Digital Design Engineer is required to work in a collaborative environment, developing innovative digital designs for complex systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in end-to-end digital design flow and be proficient in various programming languages.


Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with system architects and product definers to develop scalable RTL that can be reused across different product types.
  • Understand mixed-signal design concepts like clock jitter, voltage levels, and their impact on digital systems.
  • Develop basic understanding of operating principles of analog building blocks like PLLs, power-on-reset modules, clocking circuits, etc., and create behavioral models of such IPs.
  • Define standard interfaces across digital systems or mixed-signal systems focusing on future extension and reusability.
  • Implement digital design architecture, low-power design, synthesis, and timing analysis.
  • Work on SoC design using subsystem IPs and analog IPs.
  • Collaborate successfully with design architects, digital verification, project management, and digital and analog design teams in multiple worldwide geographies.
  • Refine features requirements throughout the design process and implement micro-architecture to RTL.
  • Work with validation teams for pre-silicon platforms like SOCV, Emulation, FPGA.
Qualifications:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 4 years of experience, or MS + 2 experience in Digital Design and Verification.
  • Experience of the end-to-end digital design flow to accurately collaborate with all members of the technical staff.
  • Experience of RTL design, CDC, ASIC synthesis, timing analysis, and system Verilog (assertion).
  • Proficiency in Verilog, TCL, and Perl/Python/XML programming languages.
  • Basic understanding of analog integrated circuit design.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor devices and behavioral top-level modeling.
  • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux working environment and multiple semiconductor design tools.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in teams.
