API Product Manager Role Overview

The company is a fast-growing B2B SaaS organization working towards making business verifiable in real-time. We are developing a global asset verification platform that enables auditors to deliver high-quality financial audits and focus on creating value for all economic stakeholders.

This opportunity suits an ambitious API Product Manager with SaaS experience to help build the first global bank connectivity platform for auditors and professional services firms. The ideal candidate will have a dynamic approach, be adaptable, and thrive in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.

The role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of bank integration projects. Responsibilities include defining and executing product strategy and roadmaps, leading discovery with banks and financial institutions, partnering with business development and partnerships teams, translating customer needs into clear product requirements, collaborating with engineering teams to design and implement APIs, and maintaining a deep understanding of regulatory landscapes.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop product strategies and roadmaps for bank API integrations.
  2. Lead discovery efforts with banking partners to understand API offerings, authentication models, and data structures.
  3. Partner with cross-functional teams to onboard new banking partners.
  4. Translate customer needs into actionable product requirements.
  5. Collaborate with engineering teams to design, implement, and improve API interfaces.
  6. Develop documentation and guidelines for API usage and partner onboarding.
  7. Monitor the performance and reliability of banking integrations.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of product management experience, with prior exposure to APIs within the financial services industry. Required skills include knowledge of RESTful APIs, OAuth, webhooks, and related technologies, as well as effective communication and collaboration skills.

  1. Experience working with banking, financial data, or regulated environments.
  2. Knowledge of software engineering principles and technical architecture.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced setting.
