Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled leader to take on the role of Centre Manager/Person in Charge, Listowel Respite Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and development of the service, supporting adults with intellectual disabilities.

The Centre Manager/PIC will lead a team of staff, ensuring that they have the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality care. They will also be responsible for the effective implementation of policies and procedures, as well as managing day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of staff to deliver high-quality care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the service.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including allocating resources and managing budgets.
  • Support staff to train and upskill in models appropriate to ID/Autism Services.
  • Ensure the provision of a person-centred service to those supported by the service.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including staff, residents, management, family, and other service providers.
  • Develop relationships and linkages with community groups and other disability agencies.
  • Act as the key communicator to all stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Level 7 or higher qualification in Social Care, Nursing (RNID preferred), or another relevant health/social care discipline.
  • Formal management qualification in health or social care.
  • At least three years' management or supervisory experience in the sector.
  • Demonstrate evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Have the clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.

Desirable Requirements

The following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Post-Graduate Diploma or Masters Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Senior management experience in Disability Services or a related sector.
