Clinical Nurse Manager

Our hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team.

  • The successful candidate will act as the stand-in for the CNM2/Clinical Coordinator in their absence, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
  • They will actively report incidents and promote quality management incident reporting, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
  • Our ideal candidate will recognize potential electrical, chemical, and transportation threats in the department and take proactive steps to mitigate risks.
  • They will be responsible for ensuring the safe maintenance of equipment and reporting any issues to the clinical coordinator or their designee.
  • The successful candidate will participate in the process of Joint Commissioning Accreditation (JCI) and assist in preparing the hospital for the JCI survey.
  • As a resource for senior nurse support in the ICU, they will provide guidance and expertise to ensure exceptional patient care.
  • Our ideal candidate will encourage efficient interprofessional collaboration to maximize support, staff training, and patient care.

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate must hold a Registered General Nurse registration with NMBI.
  • A bachelor's degree in nursing, with postgraduate credentials in critical care being preferred.
  • Essential certifications include ACLS; preceptorship experience is desired.
  • Our ideal candidate will have five or more years of cardiothoracic or surgical ICU experience, with evidence of a beneficial impact on critical care.
  • Experience as a preceptor for students enrolled in adult critical care courses is highly valued.
