We are seeking a skilled Engineering Team Lead to join our dynamic team in Co. Down, Northern Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior role with real leadership responsibility and influence in a fast-paced environment.
You will work closely with the Engineering Manager to lead a team of multi-skilled engineers across continental shifts, prioritising maintenance support, ensuring maximum equipment uptime, and driving a proactive approach to both preventative maintenance and fault resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the shift engineering team (including apprentices)
- Prioritise and coordinate response to equipment breakdowns across production lines
- Oversee preventative maintenance schedules using CMMS systems
- Ensure all documentation and compliance logs are completed to high standards
- Collaborate with production and process improvement teams to optimise site performance
Requirements:
- Time-served engineering apprenticeship with HNC/HND or equivalent qualification
- Recent experience in a similar role within manufacturing
- Strong electro-mechanical and PLC troubleshooting experience
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills
- Flexible, proactive, and committed to high performance standards
- Experience within the food processing sector and familiarity with FMCG environments would be highly advantageous
