**About the Role:**

We are seeking a driven and experienced individual to fill the Trainee Manager position. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for supporting the operation of our store while gaining valuable experience in various departments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the management team in all aspects of store operations
  • Gain detailed knowledge and expertise in multiple departments throughout the store
  • Develop and monitor sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste, and other key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Actively participate in training and development initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Maintain high standards of merchandise presentation and visual merchandising throughout the store
  • Manage assigned departments and engage with new business initiatives

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 1 year's experience in the retail industry, preferably in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
  • Experience balancing cash and operating tills
  • Knowledge of fresh food handling and preparation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good delegation and leadership skills
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and commercial awareness
  • Passion for the grocery retail sector
