Senior Software Engineer Opportunity

About the Role

We seek an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. As a key member, you will build platforms for today's financial systems. Your role involves creating end-to-end deployable distributed services in collaboration with Principal Engineers, Product Managers, Solutions Architects, and Application Engineers.

You will work on substantial enhancements as well as maintaining our Corda platform, which underpins diverse customer solutions. Corda is a DLT designed for running complex workflows between businesses without centralized control points.

Responsibilities
  • Align product and technical roadmaps to meet customer and stakeholder needs while building trust with them.
  • Ship changes to our platform within a week by taking ownership of end-to-end quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers within the team and organization by developing technical plans and contributing to architectural decisions with scalability in mind to serve millions of users.
  • Mentor and guide fellow engineers to improve team performance.
  • Write Java/Kotlin code that integrates with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) forming the core of our platform.
Requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering roles preferably building SaaS or platform products.
  • Experience collaborating effectively in cross-disciplinary teams interacting directly with Product Managers, Solutions Architects, and Application Engineers.
  • Depth of expertise in high-level programming languages (Java/Kotlin/Python etc.) with hands-on experience in managing infrastructure, containerization, and deployments.
  • Experience in developing Distributed Systems and Microservices/Microapps.
  • Experience owning delivery of software increments, end-to-end by writing tests, managing performance, adhering to Service Level Objectives through continuous testing and tracking key metrics.
