Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a range of psychological services to children 0 - 18 years and their families who attend the Network Disability Team within an interdisciplinary framework and family-centered practice.

About You:

Applicants must hold a relevant university degree or diploma (QQI level 8 equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject. Additionally, they must have an Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working with children of 0 - 18 years with at least one of the following disabilities: physical disability, autism, learning disability, etc., and their families.
  • Demonstrate competence in the Care Group/s applied for.
  • Must be a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • Applicants who qualified outside the Republic of Ireland must already have their qualifications validated by the Department of Health and Children and the Psychological Society of Ireland.
