Key Responsibilities:- Develop strategic flood risk assessments for land-use plans in the UK and Ireland
- Oversee surveys, hydrological estimation, and statistical analysis
- Conduct site-specific flood risk assessments for different developments
- Provide guidance on structural and drainage considerations to relevant teams
- Collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines
- Support during Oral Hearings
- Mentor junior staff
- Eight years of relevant experience and hold an Honours degree in civil or environmental engineering
- Expertise in hydrological estimation methodologies, strategic and site-specific flood risk assessments
- 1D-2D flood modeling, particularly with software like ICM
- Strong organizational and project management skills are essential, along with leadership qualities and proficiency in communication and report writing
- Experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff
- Ideal chartered membership in a recognised professional body
