This role involves providing occupational therapy intervention for adults with Intellectual Disability and complex needs who experience sensory difficulties contributing to behaviours that challenge and ability to engage in everyday activities.
- The post holder will work alongside the Principal Psychologist and Behaviour Support Team, responsible for measuring and reporting on occupational therapy outcomes as part of the team to inform service delivery.
- Collaboration is key; assess those with sensory processing needs and develop strategies to support them.
- Our ideal candidate will provide sensory occupational therapy supports to people across county Clare, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to identify and implement strategies for individuals with sensory processing challenges.
- This requires exceptional communication skills, a positive attitude towards working with people with an intellectual disability and strong organisational abilities.
- A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification from CORU's Occupational Therapy Registration Board is essential.
- Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register, maintained by CORU, is also required.
