Job Description: Financial Services Professional

We are seeking an experienced and qualified financial services professional to join our team in Carrick-on-Shannon. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a client-focused, deadline-driven setting.

  • Prepare financial statements for micro and small companies in line with relevant accounting standards
  • Compile audit files for small Companies Limited by Guarantee (CLGs)
  • Manage bookkeeping and prepare year-end accounts for sole traders
  • File annual returns and statutory documents with the appropriate authorities
  • Liaise with Revenue on behalf of clients regarding tax matters
  • Review work prepared by junior staff, providing feedback and oversight
  • Collaborate with clients to deliver practical financial advice and assist with business planning
Candidate Requirements:
  • Fully qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent), with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in a practice environment
  • Proven experience preparing accounts and audit files for small entities and CLGs
  • Strong understanding of tax, payroll, and compliance obligations
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical ability
  • Ability to manage multiple client files and deadlines independently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and client-focused attitude
