Snr Electronic Design Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced electronics design engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working in project teams, carrying out design and development activities on motor controller products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and development of hardware (analog, digital, and power electronics) for servo-drive products while ensuring that the product designs meet performance specifications, cost, and reliability targets.
  • Compliance with regulatory standards and designing for manufacture and test (DFM & DFT).
  • Participation in all aspects of the hardware life cycle, including requirements definition, architectural design, implementation, integration, and testing.
  • Active participation in design reviews and business reviews as required.
  • Collaboration with a multi-site development team to achieve defined project goals/milestones within tight project schedules.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant role, preferably in an ISO9001/AS9100D environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, problem identification, analysis, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Results-oriented and deadline-driven, with a high degree of accountability, commitment, and responsibility.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with senior customers, management, and team members.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of permanent magnet synchronous motors and their operation.
  • Power conversion principles, topologies, and technologies, and thermal management.
  • VHDL language capability and experience.
  • Hard real-time embedded system developments to defined project schedules.
  • Electronic devices and FPGA communication with electronic devices.
Education

A minimum 2nd Class (Hons) degree or equivalent in electronics/electrical engineering.
