Job Title: Site Foreman

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Foreman to oversee daily operations on our project in Co. Longford. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising on-site personnel, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining site safety, ensuring quality workmanship, and delivering the medium-sized project on time.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills. Key responsibilities include supervising and coordinating the activities of site operatives and subcontractors, ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and the building programme, monitoring and enforcing health and safety regulations on site, maintaining a clean and organised site, and managing site logistics effectively.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 5+ years experience in a foreman or similar supervisory role on various construction sites/projects.
  • Trade background preferred (e.g., carpentry, bricklaying, etc.).
  • Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Good time management and the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in using basic IT systems for reporting and record-keeping.
