Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Industrial Electrician. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Work with complex electrical systems, including 3-phase power systems, motors, VSDs, and industrial control panels.
  • Interpret and apply electrical schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate repairs and maintenance.
  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize system reliability.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults, and implement effective solutions.
  • Leverage knowledge of PLC systems programming to enhance troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Prioritize safety and efficiency in all work activities, maintaining high standards throughout.
  • Document maintenance activities and record-keeping accurately.
Requirements:
  • Certified electrician with relevant trade certification.
  • Substantial experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment (at least 35 years).
  • Strong background in 3-phase electrical systems, VSDs, motors, and PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, as well as troubleshoot effectively.
  • Excellent fault-finding skills and ability to identify problems efficiently.
  • Familiarity with both preventive and reactive maintenance practices.
  • Dedication to health and safety protocols in an industrial setting.
  • Ideal candidate based in or near Carlow region.
