As a seasoned Operations Manager, you will oversee the efficient management of our transport fleet. This critical role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as an in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure full compliance with RSA, NTA, and Department of Transport regulations.
  • Manage road tax, CVRT, PSV, tachograph calibrations, and vehicle licensing renewals.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, defects, repairs, and compliance documentation.
  • Oversee fuel cards, toll tags, ULEZ/LEZ registrations, and onboard equipment.
  • Monitor fleet performance, including fuel usage, mileages, and telematics data.
  • Liaise with garages, maintenance staff, and external dealers for servicing and inspections.
Driver Compliance & Management
  • Ensure all drivers hold valid CPC cards and maintain compliance with EU driver hours.
  • Manage digital tachograph downloads, infringement analysis, and driver debriefings.
  • Handle accident/incident investigations, insurance reporting, and driver behaviour monitoring.
  • Maintain driver files, issue updated manuals and policies, and oversee training & inductions.
  • Monitor driver performance, walkaround checks, and compliance with safety standards.
Operations & Administration
  • Manage insurance renewals, fleet additions/removals, and claims.
  • Coordinate tenders and contracts for Irish Rail, Bus Éireann, CIE Tours, and cruise ship dispatch operations.
  • Schedule city tour services, school transport, and ad hoc service requirements.
  • Oversee new coach arrivals, registrations, PDI, and compliance setup.
  • Support ISO/NSAI environmental certifications and audits.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a transport management or fleet compliance role.
  • Strong knowledge of RSA, NTA, and Department of Transport regulations.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills.
  • Ability to manage compliance deadlines and lead a team effectively.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Good people management & presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to multitask.
  • CPC in transport management, International Transport Licence.
  • Excellent PC Skills: MS Office, Excel.
