Trade Processing Expert

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Trade Processing Specialist. This role requires excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively.

The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide creative solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential for building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

This is a key role in the organization, requiring a high level of attention to detail and the ability to monitor and oversee trade settlement processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving trade-related issues, collaborating with traders and front office teams, and working closely with compliance, risk, and client service teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Liaising directly with brokers and custodians to resolve trade-related issues
  • Collaborating with traders/front office to escalate issues with counterparties as needed
  • Monitoring trade settlement status and investigating any discrepancies with counterparties
  • Working with Compliance, Risk, Client Service, and other internal teams to address time-sensitive trade flow queries
  • Actively participating in the mitigation of operational risks associated with trade processing
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with all counterparties in the trade life cycle
  • Contributing to internal and external third-party reviews to discuss and resolve issues
  • Investigating and resolving interest claims arising from trade flow problems
  • Processing improvement and identifying opportunities for enhancements, automation, and risk mitigation

Required qualifications include:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in trade matching and settlement roles
  • Previous experience in a similar role with good knowledge of swift and settlement workflows
  • Understanding of the lifecycle of a trade
  • Knowledge of OMGEO, ALERT, and CTM desirable
