Job Title: Senior Medical Practitioner for GP Outpatient Services

We are seeking an experienced and qualified senior medical practitioner to oversee the operation of our GP outpatient service in Navan and Drogheda.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the smooth running of the treatment centre, providing clinical governance to nursing staff, and overseeing all aspects of the service including health and safety policies, medication management, and operational procedures.

The service operates from 6pm to 8am weekdays and 24 hours over weekends and public holidays. The CNM would work some daytime hours to manage administrative tasks and cover shifts during opening hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a multidisciplinary team, roster management, dealing with complaints, and drafting policies and procedures
  • Managing medication, hygiene audits, and maintaining excellent interpersonal skills
  • Developing and implementing operational procedures to ensure efficient service delivery

Applicants should have significant experience in paediatrics, cardiac patients, and anaphylaxis management, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.
