Building High-Availability Cloud Services

We are seeking an experienced systems engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of high-availability cloud services. The successful candidate will have a strong background in automation and operations, with experience working with hardware, software, networking, operating systems.

The ideal candidate will be able to lead the creation, revision, and/or improvement of standard operational procedures (SOPs) and driving operational best practices. They will also have experience actively mentoring junior engineers and working cross-organizationally and leading strategic team efforts requiring work from multiple team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the launch of new cloud services
  • Collaborating with technology leaders to enhance day-to-day operations
  • Ensuring improvements in availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency of cloud services

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering
  • Experience scripting processes in a language such as Bash, Python, or Ruby
  • Solid understanding of Linux and networking, and able to troubleshoot and anticipate problems that affect the performance, reliability, or availability of software systems
