Racing Track Maintenance Specialist

About the Role
Fairyhouse Racecourse is hiring casual staff to work in grounds maintenance. The successful candidate will be involved in supporting the racecourse's 21 annual racedays and assisting with track repairs after events.
Main Responsibilities- Maintain the presentation of a safe racing surface, jumps, and other key features like stables and parade rings.
- Perform ground repair tasks such as replacing divots and filling holes with soil/sand mixtures.
- Assist in preparing the track and associated areas for upcoming events.
- Carry out additional duties as required by management.
- Candidates should have a 'can-do' attitude and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
- The role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, so an appreciation for this environment is essential.
- BASIC horse handling skills and/or experience in agronomy are beneficial but not necessary, as training will be provided and roles assigned based on individual skillsets.
- This position is on a casual basis, with opportunities arising as needed.
Racing is a seven-day business, requiring flexibility in working hours. This may involve working some weekends and evenings.
