Job Overview

A well-established accountancy practice is seeking a fully qualified accountant with strong technical expertise and leadership skills.

This is a client-facing role requiring a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting junior staff as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review year-end financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Manage tax compliance including Corporation Tax, Income Tax, VAT, and PAYE.
  • Liaise directly with clients to provide advice and resolve queries.
  • Oversee bookkeeping and payroll work prepared by junior team members.
  • Prepare management accounts and financial reports as required.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory deadlines.
  • Support the implementation of cloud accounting systems where applicable.
Requirements:
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CPA).
  • Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Excellent knowledge of Irish tax and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks).
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines.
