Job Overview

The Assistant Store Manager plays a pivotal role in the store's leadership team, fostering a collaborative environment that enhances both team member and guest experiences daily.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Create a positive and inclusive work atmosphere by celebrating individual differences and promoting teamwork among all staff members and guests.
  2. Develop and maintain a culture of ongoing learning and development within the team through constructive feedback, coaching, mentoring, and career guidance, while addressing performance concerns.
  3. Collaborate with the Store Manager to plan and schedule team member shifts according to labor needs, availability, and operational requirements.
Working Effectively with Others

Establish strong relationships with colleagues built on mutual respect and support, focusing on their personal and professional growth.

Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional guest service, prioritizing timely assistance and efficient store operations.

Providing Exceptional Guest Experiences

Support team members (e.g., through coaching or leading by example) to ensure high-quality guest interactions, including assessing guest needs, providing product education, and facilitating in-store transactions and omnichannel programs (e.g., buy online pickup in store, phone sales, and ship from store options).

Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly, ensuring a 'make it right' approach for our customers.

Store Operations

Implement the Store Manager's vision and objectives, effectively communicating these to the team.

Partner with the Store Manager to review business data and metrics (e.g., profit and loss statements), informing planning processes such as quarterly business reviews and sales planning.

Ensure smooth store openings and closings following established checklists.

Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to people safety policies and procedures.
