Key Role: Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Engineer

Catalyx is seeking a skilled MES engineer to provide expert-level support for our clients in the life science and regulated industries. This role requires hands-on experience with MES platforms, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site technical support for MES systems, ensuring minimal disruption to production operations.
  • Troubleshoot complex MES-related issues and service requests directly on the production floor.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance activities and ensure proper documentation of all tasks.
  • Execute support and sustainment tasks in accordance with business and GMP compliance requirements.
  • Resolve PAS-X-related issues onsite, including visibility of MO/PO, stuck records, peripheral device malfunctions, and general system access or performance concerns.
  • Offer real-time shop floor support to manufacturing teams, guiding end users on MES navigation, eBR execution, and optimal system use to promote self-sufficiency.
  • Support change controls, CAPA processes, and integration of new product changes for GMBRs, MBRs, eBRs, and ESP across filling, inspection, and packaging operations.
  • Assist with platform and server maintenance activities as the primary onsite resource, managing system administration and technical support needs.
  • Engage actively with cross-functional project teams to build effective working relationships and ensure successful project execution.
  • Contribute to fit-gap analysis between customer requirements and MES capabilities to inform system customization and enhancement.
  • Support the design and rollout of MES solutions to replace paper-based or manual processes, such as batch records, weigh & dispense, warehouse management, and material tracking.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with MES platforms in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with MES systems such as Werum PAS-X, Rockwell PharmaSuite, or Emerson Syncade is highly desirable.
