Electrical Wire Testing Specialist Needed

About the Role

This is a critical position responsible for ensuring the ongoing safety, reliability, and compliance of electrical systems across large-scale facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) to identify potential electrical hazards.
  • Inspect and test installations, circuits, and equipment to verify compliance with industry standards.
  • Document findings clearly and prepare detailed reports to facilitate effective decision-making.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure electrical systems operate safely and efficiently.
  • Promote and adhere to health & safety protocols at all times to minimize risks to employees and assets.
About You

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • The City & Guilds 18th Edition Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations.
  • The City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) certification for Initial and Periodic Inspection & Testing.
  • A strong background in conducting EICR inspections, preferably within large industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency with electrical testing software (e.g. Easy Cert or similar).
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A full UK driving license to enable travel between sites.
