Financial Planning Professional

The Role:

This position requires an experienced financial planning expert to lead the development of financial plans, forecasts, and budgets for various corporate functions.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Preparation of comprehensive financial budgets and forecasts that align with financial statement objectives.
  2. Creation of templates to streamline projected operating expenditures.
  3. Analysis and collection of operating costs for accurate budgeting.
  4. Development of depreciation forecasts for budget and corporate plan alignment.
  5. Support in preparing budgeting, planning, and forecasting presentations for senior stakeholders.
  6. Collaboration with finance teams to ensure forecast accuracy and explain variances.
  7. Assistance in submitting relevant information to regulatory bodies as part of business partnering efforts.

Business Partnering Expectations:

  1. Gathering and analyzing timely financial data for reporting purposes.
  2. Building strong working relationships with business unit managers and finance teams.
  3. Coordination and delivery of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for asset-related functions.
  4. Ensuring understanding and addressing of financial issues related to OPEX/CAPEX.
  5. Verification of cost capitalization alignment with IFRS and correct asset commissioning.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Relevant degree plus 2-3 years' experience.
  2. Accounting qualification (ACA, ACMA, ACCA) or equivalent.
  3. Experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis is preferred.
  4. Advanced Excel skills; modelling/data analytics experience is a plus.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  7. Proven relationship-building skills.
  8. Continuous improvement mindset with high performance standards.
