Job Overview:

The role of Maintenance Technician is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and maintain essential spare parts and tools to prevent downtime and optimize maintenance schedules.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure timely availability of spare parts for major processes and equipment.
• Support production teams as needed, adapting to changing priorities.
• Continuously improve production process equipment by identifying and implementing improvement projects that enhance operating effectiveness.
• Coordinate and liaise with vendors, site contractors, and external specialist contractors engaged in work on site.
• Maintain adherence to health and safety regulations, procedures, and accepted practices during maintenance activities.
• Analyse and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, and service manuals to carry out work effectively.
• Communicate existing and potential issues to supervisors and management.
• (Dis)assemble/install new machines, condition, and monitor sensors/equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance experience with pumps, motors, grinding, and milling machines.
• In-depth knowledge of various machines concerning maintenance and repair.
• Experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanics, and electrics.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work collaboratively as part of a team and organize tasks efficiently.
• Availability to work overtime, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Industrial Automation Technology or related field is advantageous.
