Facilities Plumber

To ensure that all plumbing and mechanical systems are functioning at the highest standard and report any abnormalities to the Head of Facilities Management/Assistant Manager. The role aims to promote and preserve a safe working environment.

Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for ensuring that all plumbing requirements are met to the highest standards with minimal disruption to operations. Key duties include general Plumbing/Mechanical maintenance on a day-to-day basis, checking plant equipment daily to ensure its smooth running, and carrying out non-mechanical maintenance as required.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and installation of primary plumbing systems, including Heating and hot water systems, domestic plumbing fixtures, and mains water connections and distribution.
  • Support water sampling collections and be the Authorised Person on medical gases when trained.
  • Provide on-call support to operations after hours and ensure legionella checks are carried out regularly.
  • Complete remedial and corrective actions to ensure water quality and safety, prioritizing operational efficiency.
