Job Title: Procurement Manager

This is a senior role within our organization where you will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing and stock control processes. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing purchasing strategies, maintaining positive supplier relationships, and effectively managing stock levels.


The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills, strong math abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel). You will also possess strong interpersonal skills, allowing you to build positive relationships with suppliers and colleagues alike.


Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize costs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Process sales team stock orders efficiently, minimizing delays and maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Manage shop stock levels based on demand and minimums, using data analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Assist management with supplier queries and returns, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Source new products to grow our range, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Coordinate supplier-led promotions for our organization, driving sales and revenue growth.
  • Partner with marketing on customer promotions and campaigns, leveraging your knowledge of suppliers and markets.
  • Meet suppliers regularly to negotiate terms and build strategic relationships.
  • Travel for supplier meetings, trade shows, and training, representing our organization with professionalism and expertise.
  • Review monthly reports on outstanding purchase orders, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Spot and act on purchasing opportunities, leveraging your knowledge of markets and suppliers.
  • Improve purchasing processes for greater efficiency, reducing costs and enhancing productivity.
  • Use sound judgment in supplier selection and negotiations, balancing competing demands and priorities.

Requirements:
  • 2 years purchasing experience preferred, but not essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel), with the ability to use software to analyze data and inform decision-making.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
