Job Overview

We are expanding our operations to support continued expansion into the commercial & residential energy supply sector.

The ideal candidate should have a third-level degree in a quantitative subject such as engineering, mathematics, finance/economics, or the sciences. A minimum of 2-4 years' work experience in the industry is desired, with any gas and electricity pricing or trading experience being highly advantageous.

You should have knowledge of how to build a residential 24hr or Day Night electricity tariff from its costs of sale components and understand what drives the profitability of residential tariffs.

Key responsibilities include leading/supporting the production of residential electricity, gas, and heat prices and tariffs, conducting competitor analysis, working with our hedging team to manage and report on price risk, and assisting in the day-to-day trading activities of the organization.

  • Design electricity, gas, and heat tariffs for our customer base.
  • Implement, track, and trade hedge strategies.
  • Provide best-in-class analysis of the markets we operate in.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in electricity pricing in the Irish retail market.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong data handling & programming skills in Python, SQL, and Tableau.
