We are seeking a skilled and experienced Energy Pricing Analyst to join our team.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electricity pricing principles, including residential tariff design and wholesale market dynamics. They will be responsible for leading the development of tariffs for our customer base and working closely with our hedging team to manage and report on price risk.

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, with the ability to collect, analyze and interpret large datasets. They will also have strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Develop and implement residential electricity, gas, and heat tariffs for our customer base.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and provide insights into the retail energy market.
  • Work with our hedging team to manage and report on price risk.
  • Assist in the day-to-day trading activities of the company.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A third-level degree in a quantitative subject such as engineering, mathematics, finance/economics, or the sciences.
  • At least 2-4 years' work experience in the industry, preferably in electricity pricing or trading.
  • Strong data handling and programming skills, with experience in tools such as Python, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analysis, and attention to detail.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
