About the Role

As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in creating a therapeutic and safe environment where young people can feel secure, cared for, and valued. You will work closely with the Registered Manager and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure high standards of care are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work collaboratively with staff to deliver exceptional care services in line with minimum standards 2019 and children's home regulations 2005.
  2. Establish and maintain effective relationships with children's services, health agencies, and community-based services to ensure seamless referrals and achieve optimal outcomes.
  3. Take ownership of complex cases and situations, working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality support services.
  4. Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are upheld and complied with at all times.
  5. Provide regular staff supervision and guidance to ensure staff development and performance excellence.
  6. Maintain accurate and comprehensive staffing and service level reports.
  7. Manage budgets and staff rotas to meet company targets.
  8. Facilitate team meetings and collaborate with outside agencies to drive positive outcomes.
  9. Support the Registered Manager in new referral processes and compatibility assessments.
Requirements

We are seeking an experienced professional with:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working with behaviours of concern, such as verbal and physical aggression or absconding.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience leading teams and managing services within the care sector.
  • Degree-level qualifications in Social Work or a related field.
  • A full clean UK driving license (12 months).
  • Northern Ireland Social Care Council Registration and Enhanced Access NI.
