
Child Development Specialist

Enable Ireland provides services to over 13,000 children and adults with disabilities and their families from 43 locations in 14 counties. Covering childhood to adulthood our expert teams work with the individual and their family on a plan for each life stage. Our services for children and their families cover all aspects of a child's physical, educational, and social development from early infancy through adolescence.
We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Family Support Worker/Driver to join our team in Co Roscommon. The successful candidate will have experience working with children/teens, experience of working with children with disabilities, and experience providing personal care to individuals.
The job involves supporting children to participate in the community, achieve person-centred goals and facilitate inclusion. It also includes practical, personal and social support to the individual they work with. Afternoon hours Monday to Friday, afterschool/school holidays on a return of hours basis as required.
- QQI Level 5 major award in childcare or equivalent (we will consider applicants working towards full major childcare qualification or equivalent)
- Have experience working with children/teens
- Have experience of working with children with disabilities
- Have experience providing personal care to individuals
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills, good awareness of health and safety issues, and experience of working with children in community/non-centred based and centre-based setting as Lone Worker and as part of a team.

Contract Type: Variable hours contract
Salary Scale: €32,639 to €39,499 pro rata per annum (€16.05 p/h to 19.47 p/h)
Annual Leave Entitlement: Annual leave entitlement is 10.7% of Hours Worked
