Lead Public Realm Development Project Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee a landmark public realm development project in Tralee. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a well-established contractor delivering high-quality infrastructure works across Ireland.

Job Description:

As the lead on this public realm development project, you will be responsible for managing and directing subcontractor crews and direct labour teams to ensure smooth workflow on site. You will also take charge of the commercial and operational performance of daily project activities, leading on-site delivery while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental (HSQE) compliance.

You will act as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders, ensuring strong communication and progress updates. Additionally, you will provide guidance and leadership to a multidisciplinary team including engineering, planning, commercial, and HSQE staff.

Key responsibilities include overseeing procurement processes, maintaining effective coordination across the supply chain, and planning and coordinating site operations to ensure project deadlines and contractual obligations are achieved.

Requirements
  • A solid background with 5+ years' experience in a Project Manager role, preferably within utilities and civil realm projects.
  • Familiarity with Public Works Contracts would be a strong advantage.
  • An engineering qualification is beneficial, though not essential.
  • A track record of providing strong leadership with excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Confidence in project management systems and IT tools to support delivery.
  • Skill at managing client relationships from project kick-off through to handover.
  • Capable of problem-solving and negotiating solutions to keep projects on track.
