Early Years Educator Role

The position is available due to an increase in children and additional needs in our groups.

This role focuses on creating a positive and safe learning environment. You will work closely with senior team members as part of the induction before becoming a room leader in one of our After School, ECCE, Toddler or Wobbler rooms.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a positive and safe learning environment for each child.
  • Care and encourage learning growth depending on each individual child's needs.
  • Ensure the safety, security and wellbeing of all children in your care.
  • Contribute to planning and implementing an age appropriate stimulating programme of activities.
  • Supervise free and child-led play.
  • Collaborate with other Childcare Practitioners to develop and follow a weekly/monthly plan.
  • Observe, record and monitor the Children's development.
  • Implement the Aistear framework.
  • Communicate effectively with children, staff and parents on a daily basis.
  • Support colleagues when needed.
Requirements:
  • A Level 7 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
  • International candidates require a qualification recognised for working in the Irish Early Years sector or a letter of declaration to practice from the Department of Children, Disability and Equality.
  • Previous experience in an equivalent Early Years setting.
  • Demonstrable professionalism, enthusiasm and positivity.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and support others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
