Quality Operations Manager

We are seeking a Quality Operations Manager to drive quality and food safety policies in our plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring processes and operations meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Embed Quality Culture: Drive a strong quality culture within the plant, promoting a 'right first time' approach to ensure high-quality products.
  • Implement Quality Management System: Implement the Glanbia Quality Management System (GQS) in your plant, ensuring all processes and operations align with quality standards.
  • Manage Quality Performance: Manage quality performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) in your plant, focusing on Product & Process Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Regulatory Compliance.
  • Maintain Customer Specifications: Maintain customer product specifications and certifications, ensuring final products meet quality standards.
  • Support Quality Systems: Collaborate with Operations Management and teams to ensure quality operations requirements are fully resourced, delivering plant in-process, sampling, and testing schedules.
  • Audit Quality Practices: Audit quality practices and processes within the site, focusing on Hygiene, HACCP, and the prevention of deviations.
  • Lead Change Control: Accountable for change control of quality aspects of your plant operation, ensuring all changes meet quality standards.
  • Develop Team Members: Manage the team of Process Technicians, including training, development, performance, and communications.

Requirements:

  • Education: Third-level degree minimum in Sciences, Engineering, or Process disciplines.
  • Experience: Role-relevant experience in large Dairy, Food, or Pharmaceutical companies in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, and Process Improvement.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, Lean principles application, team-working, communication, operational processes knowledge, and computer literacy.
