Senior Scientific Researcher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly respected scientific researcher to oversee the technical aspects and laboratory conduct of a significant service offering, technical area, or client program. The successful candidate will provide focused technical expertise as a key scientific resource for a broad array of instrument applications.

The ideal candidate will participate in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies to keep the laboratory current and meet business needs. They will assist in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies or techniques to help move the business forward.

The Senior Scientific Researcher will implement effective improvements in systems, processes, and procedures increasing productivity, quality, and technical expertise in the laboratory. They will share subject matter expertise with colleagues at internal training events and serve as a technical resource for management in the assessment of client audit recommendations and SOP review.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to stay up-to-date with industry advancements.
  • Lead project teams conducting complex analytical studies, providing technical project management including study planning, coordination of resources, data evaluation, and client communication.
  • Implement process improvements and technological advancements at the group or department level.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.

Requirements:

  • Educated to a bachelor's degree level in a relevant scientific area.
  • 12+ years' relevant industry experience within a GMP laboratory.
  • In-depth technical and industry knowledge in positions of technical leadership.
  • Communication/organization skills necessary to drive the implementation of technological innovation.
  • Active participant in industry discussion groups / technology conferences and presenting at industry events and conferences.
  • Knowledge of regulatory agency audits from a technological standpoint and perspective.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement and technological advancement at the group or department level.
