Job Overview:

An ideal candidate is sought to fill the role of an Assistant Buyer – Fashion. This position offers a unique blend of challenges and opportunities for growth within a dynamic retail environment.

This exciting opportunity allows you to develop your skills in building commercially viable product ranges, while ensuring competitive pricing strategies are implemented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate prices, delivery dates, and ensure timely receipt of goods.
  • Proactively identify and source new products that meet sustainability policies and align with customer needs.
  • Establish strong relationships with vendors and suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery date.
  • Manage large budgets, forecast market trends, and monitor customer needs to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Regularly visit stores to assess merchandise presentation and gather feedback from customers.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for fashion and its ever-evolving trends.
  • At least two years of relevant buying experience, preferably in the fashion industry.
  • Desirable: third-level qualification in fashion or business, demonstrating expertise in areas such as marketing, merchandising, or supply chain management.
  • Exceptional Excel skills and numerical ability are essential for effective budgeting and financial planning.
  • Excellent attention to detail, multitasking skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of customer needs and ability to develop products addressing identified trends.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
