Investment Associate Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Investment Associate to join our Private Clients department.

The Role

  • You will work closely with an Associate Director/Director to assist in creating and executing relationship plans for each client, focusing on implementing their financial plan and adhering to service standards to develop long-term client relationships.
  • You will identify revenue potential and opportunities to cross-sell our services.
  • You will review existing client relationships and analyse whether they are correctly categorised and managed in line with Investment Strategy.
  • You will execute an engagement plan for each advisory relationship to ensure clients receive proactive, relevant, and appropriate contact, investment ideas, and recommendations, as well as structured portfolio reviews.
  • You will manage MI relating to client relationships and deal promptly and efficiently with client queries.
  • You will ensure all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, our Risk Management Framework, and internal Policies and Policy Standards.

Your Qualifications and Skills

  • You hold a Degree or Masters in Business related area.
  • You have 2-3 years industry experience.
  • You possess APA Savings & Investments and/or APA Pensions qualification with a willingness to complete QFA qualification.
  • You have a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • You are proficient in CRM.
  • You have a commitment to further education and continuous learning.
  • You have demonstrable interest and understanding of investments.
  • You have a strong client focus to ensure effective service delivery.
  • You possess strong communication and presentation skills.
  • You have excellent attention to detail.
  • You have excellent organisational skills.
  • You can prioritise your workload effectively.
