The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team working with leading-edge technology. This role requires attendance at our facility and offers excellent career development and advancement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply synthetic chemistry and mechanistic expertise to support commercial API processes at relevant API sites.
  • Design and maintain safe, efficient, and robust processes, including full-scale qualification and/or commercial validation batches meeting contemporary regulatory standards.
  • Contribute innovative chemistry and process development ideas to support global process development projects.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills delivering chemistry and process understanding.
  • Investigate new technologies and process development approaches to bring added value to our global supply chain.
  • Complete reports, memos, and eLN experiments to a high standard and meeting required deadlines.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a PhD in synthetic chemistry.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry within a process development role is desirable but not required.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of synthetic chemistry and reaction mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of contemporary quality and regulatory guidance pertaining to the control of impurities.
  • Excellent practical synthetic laboratory experience and skills across a broad range of chemistries.
