Manufacturing Operations Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead the management of their manufacturing site.

The successful candidate will oversee all molding operations, establish standards of performance, and analyze workflow.

The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership background, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with all levels of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Management: Manage the performance of the production facility, including resourcing, manpower, and efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor production data and implement solutions to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Leadership: Lead and Performance Manage direct reports to achieve business objectives.
  • Communication: Ensure duties are defined, communicated, and met by direct reports.
  • Objectives: Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of objectives.
  • Safety and Innovation: Drive a culture of safety and innovation, ensuring the facility is audit-ready every day.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Labor Management: Review and approve labor management.
  • Product Understanding: Understand products and quality specifications.
  • Plant Performance: Establish and monitor plant performance.
  • Scrap Reduction: Develop plans to reduce scrap.
  • Quality System: Implement and uphold The Quality System ISO 9001, ensuring GMP compliance, product quality, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards ISO 13485.
  • Technical and Operational Enhancements: Ability to drive technical and operational enhancements.
  • Process Improvement: Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an Injection Molding Medical Device manufacturing facility or general manufacturing operations in a similar high-volume production role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent in a related technical discipline.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
  • IQMS experience is a distinct advantage, but not essential.
