Job Overview

The Production Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of all functions and staff on shift, guaranteeing adherence to Safety, Quality/GMP, Productivity, and Waste management objectives, policies, and procedures.

  • Manages team performance through regular Technician and Operator appraisals, and develops training plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Drives the Quality culture by enforcing work processes and procedures through Production pack review and approval, as well as continuous evaluation and maintenance through the document control system as appropriate.
  • Ensures necessary training and up-skilling activities are carried out, evaluated, and documented to optimize production operator versatility.
  • Guarantees production efficiencies and targets are continuously met and reviewed with support from the Process Engineering & Maintenance teams.
  • Implements Continuous Improvements and coordinates lean manufacturing activities.
  • Supports new product introductions and change controls are effectively managed and introduced. Collaborates with engineering and management for scheduling and supervision of product trials, validation runs.
  • Reviews and approves Production packs.
  • Optimizes resource planning in accordance with order requirements.
  • Recruits production employees in conjunction with HR.
  • Liaises with Warehouse Supervisor regarding stock maintenance and control.
  • Administers Time and Attendance System, Holiday planning, etc.
  • Participates in Quality initiatives, trouble-shooting, internal audit programme/CAPA programme.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Engineering/Science/Business/Supply Chain Discipline, previous experience in a Supervisory role, and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience working in the Medical Device Industry is desirable. The ability to develop and install an ERP package or similar project experience is also desirable. Excellent PC system skills and experience of integrated systems are essential.
