Dexcom Corporation, a global leader in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support its thrilling growth trajectory.
This role will play a key part in sourcing both indirect and direct materials for Dexcom as it scales up its new manufacturing facility.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Procurement Manager across sourcing, contracting, and supplier management processes to ensure compliance with the company's procurement policy.
Responsibilities:
- Source goods and services from suppliers to achieve the overall goals of the procurement organization.
- Provide sourcing support on low-to-medium-risk purchases.
- Administer the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process; develop non-disclosure agreements, set up RFQ events in systems, facilitate Q&A sessions with participants, monitor events, analyze, and provide input during the selection process.
- Support supplier selection and negotiation processes in line with procurement policies.
- Conduct data and spend analysis using purchasing analytics tools and advanced Excel skills.
- Interface with operations and other functional areas to collect operational needs and specifications.
- Liaise with the Senior Procurement Manager on category needs and with legal on contract processing.
- Assist with the procurement of non-standard parts, supplier consolidation, and rationalization.
- Monitor supplier performance against contracts and manage supplier relationships.
- Participate in various procurement process improvement projects and perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree and minimum 2-5 years of related experience.
- Experience with NDA/CDA, RFQ, supplier selection, and contracting processes.
- An analytical, process-driven, and strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with business spend management platforms.
- Collaborative and experienced in interfacing cross-functionally.
- Skilled in gathering data, conducting analyses, and generating high-quality outputs.
- A proven ability to analyze complex data and present in a meaningful fashion to make appropriate recommendations and drive actions.
