Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Project Director to lead our team in delivering civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in project management, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the design and build process, coordinating with internal teams, and developing cost-effective solutions. They will also be expected to analyze tender documents, identify opportunities, and provide expert advice on resource planning and traffic management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient delivery of civil engineering projects.
  • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate with designers, estimators, and supply chain partners to develop design and build tenders.
  • Analyze tender documents to identify potential opportunities and risks.
  • Provide expert advice on resource planning, staffing, and time allocation decisions.
  • Prepare draft construction programs and optimize them for efficient delivery of the works.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Extensive site-based experience, with a strong understanding of construction processes.
  • At least 5 years in a senior site management role, with exposure to complex civil engineering projects.
  • Excellent technical writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex engineering concepts clearly.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities and meet fixed deadlines.
