Job Title: BIM Project Manager

About The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Revit/AutoCAD/BIM Engineer to join our team and contribute their skills to the development of major water and wastewater treatment design and build projects.

The ideal candidate will work closely with our design and construction teams, including Mechanical, Electrical, Process, and Civil Engineers.

The role involves preparing 2D and 3D designs using a range of Autodesk products.

The successful candidate will have a good technical knowledge of design for construction.

The position will be based in our office in Athanry or Maynooth, with occasional requirements to visit sites around Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop data-rich 3D Revit models and 2D drawings for Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil packages, including general arrangements drawings and P&IDs.
  • Evaluate that drawings and designs developed are accurate and are presented to meet all relevant internal, client, and industry standards.
  • Prepare drawing registers and transmittals.
  • BIM Coordination: Conduct coordination activities, including model integration, quality assurance, and clash detection using tools such as Navisworks and ACC.
  • Pursue project administrative duties to meet contract obligations (current drawings issued to client, registers retained).
  • Assist in the control of project documentation as per ISO accredited company procedures and BIM protocols.
  • Coordinate with all other project disciplines and perform clash detection.
  • Carry out site surveys, laser scanning, and update/create models using point cloud data.
  • Create and manage REVIT families.

About You:

Desirable Skills:

  • Industry qualification in BIM, such as BRE Certification (AP/PIM/TIM), or equivalent, would be a distinct advantage.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Level 2 BIM.
  • Revit family creation, data integration & Dynamo experience.
  • Previous experience working in a multidisciplinary environment with exposure to civil and MEP design, and construction teams.
  • Ability to engage effectively with clients and understand their BIM requirements.
  • Experience in the water/wastewater industry would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and practical knowledge of MEP construction methods.
  • Irish BIM Standards: In-depth knowledge of Irish BIM standards.

Requirements:

  • A third-level qualification in BIM or a related discipline (Engineering, or Construction).
  • Certificate from a recognised training provider in 2D and 3D Autodesk products or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Experience in preparing/modelling of water/wastewater infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of Autodesk software, such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Revit.
  • Minimum 2 years postgraduate industry experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of BIM and BS1192/ISO19650.
  • Experience in managing common data environments, identifying, and implementing improvements/efficiency in delivery of work.
  • Strong general IT skills and competent in the use of MS Office.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of working with AutoDesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or other Common Data Environments (CDE).
  • Diligent with attention to detail.
  • Experience in directly managing and mentoring junior staff.
  • Keep informed of emerging industry trends in technology.
  • Undertake Continued Professional Development (CPD).
  • Strong general IT skills and competent in the use of MS Office.
  • Ability to work efficiently, whether on their own or in a team environment.
  • Must have a Full clean Irish/EU Driver's License.
  • Excellent written & spoken English.
