Coffey is a leading water infrastructure and civil engineering specialist with a passion for safety.

We are seeking an experienced Revit / AutoCAD / BIM Engineer to join our design team in Athenry or Maynooth. As a BIM Lead, you will work closely with our teams, including Mechanical, Electrical, Process and Civil Engineers.

The position involves preparing data-rich 3D Revit models and 2D drawings for Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil packages, including general arrangements drawings and P&IDs.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing drawing registers and transmittals;
  • BIM Coordination: Conducting coordination activities, including model integration, quality assurance, and clash detection using tools such as Navisworks and ACC;
  • Undertaking project administrative duties to meet contract obligations;
  • Assisting in the control of project documentation as per ISO accredited procedures and BIM protocols;
  • Coordinating with all other project disciplines and performing clash detection;
  • Carrying out site surveys, laser scanning and updating/create models using point cloud data;
  • Creating and managing REVIT families.

Key Qualifications

  • A third-level qualification in BIM or a related discipline (Engineering, or Construction);
  • Certificate from a recognised training provider in 2D and 3D Autodesk products or equivalent relevant work experience;
  • Experience in preparing/modelling of water/wastewater infrastructure;
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of Autodesk software such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D and Revit;
  • Minimum 2 years post graduate industry experience;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of BIM and BS1192/ISO19650;
  • Experience in managing common data environment, identifying and implementing improvements/efficiency in delivery of work;
  • Strong general IT skills and competent in the use of MS Office;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of working with AutoDesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or other Common Data Environments (CDE).

Additional Information

You should also be diligent with attention to detail and able to work efficiently, whether on your own or in a team environment. Excellent written & spoken English is required.
